PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which does not need to adjust an inputting amount of salt (an electrolysis promotor) by using a measuring spoon or the like, and which can easily input the electrolysis promotor of a proper amount. SOLUTION: A recess part 271 is formed on a pressing plate 27 made of a resin which is attached to a drum lid 25 (a rear lid 25A) of a drum 10. The recess part 271 has a volume of a degree that salt of a specified amount (e.g., a required amount for forming an electrolytic water of approximate 2 ppm)can be housed. At the time of a tub washing, after housing the specified amount of salt in the recess part 271, an operation (a tub washing course) is started. When the operation is started, locking of the drum 10 is released, and the drum 10 rotates in a specified direction. The salt housed in the recess part 271 drops in an external tub which covers the drum 10. The dropped salt is mixed with water stored in the external tub. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
