PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where an excellent image is obtained without causing the defective image of transfer omission, image memory and fogging or the like. SOLUTION: A developing unit 13 developing the latent image of a photoreceptive drum 12 and a transfer charger 14 transferring a toner image on transfer material are provided in the periphery of the photoreceptive drum 12, and a pre-transfer discharge unit 100 is provided between the developing unit 13 and the transfer charger 14. The pre-transfer discharge unit 100 possesses a cold cathode tube 102 and a discharge charger 104, and the discharge output of the discharge charger 104 is adjusted in accordance with the light quantity fluctuation of the cold cathode tube 102, ambient temperature and the life of the photoreceptive drum 12, so that the discharge capacity of the pre-transfer discharge unit 100 is maintained at a specified value. |
