<p>A valve position indicator for a valve stem (10) has an adapter (50) with a closed-valve cam (100) on one side and an open-valve cam system (200) on the other. Each system (100, 200) has a holder (102, 202) movable between a pinnacle (72) and a nadir (74). Each holder (102, 202) has a finger (104, 204) at its upper end contacting a respective ridge (62, 64) of position a indicator (60). At the opposite end of each holder (102, 202) is a biasing spring (106, 206). Depending on the valve position, either no portion of indicator (60), only a portion (A) or of all of the indicator (A and B) is above the threshold (70). Each holder (102, 202) has an adjustable member (108, 208) for cooperation with a switch (120, 220) to indicate the closed and open position.</p> |
