PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element in which membrane thickness distribution of a hole transport layer is improved and which has an excellent luminous efficiency. SOLUTION: An organic layer in which at least a hole transport layer 14 and an organic luminous layer (electron transporting luminous layer) 15 are laminated is formed between a first electrode 12 and a second electrode 16, and the organic layer is connected to the first electrode 12 via an opening of an insulating layer 13.
