<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily graphitizable substance from which graphite having a mechanical property equal to that of a conventional one can be obtained by treatment at a temperature lower than before. <P>SOLUTION: A film-like precursor having a plane orientation degree (P) in the range of 0.12-0.20 is heated to an atmosphere temperature of 800-3,500°C with a temperature raising speed of 0.1-50°C/min in an inert gas atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
