<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a pedestrian from an impact at a collision while enhancing safety against the collision. <P>SOLUTION: An impact relaxing member 3 having a hollow cross section shape and made of a metal is integrally formed to an upper member part of a panel body 2 made of a resin. Thereby, an impact energy can be absorbed by deforming the impact relaxing member 3 with high toughness made of a metal and the impact energy can be absorbed while ensuring high durability. Since the impact energy can be absorbed by deforming the impact relaxing member 3 made of a metal as a crush box, the front end panel 1 can be easily deformed when the pedestrian and the vehicle collide. Accordingly, since the impact force when the pedestrian and the vehicle collide can be easily absorbed by the front end panel 1, the damage received by the pedestrian, particularly the damage applied to the head can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
