PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor which can decrease processes during regenerating the photoreceptor, which has firm adhesion property between a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer and no intrusion of minute air, and to provide a method for regenerating a photoreceptor and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method for regenerating a photoreceptor (9) having at least a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer on a conductive substrate includes processes of: immersing the photoreceptor (9) in a solution (3) in which the charge transport substance and a binder resin are dissolved so as to dissolve the charge transport layer; moving the photoreceptor (9) from the solution (3) before the charge generating layer is corroded by the solution (3) so as to form a thin layer of the charge transport layer on the charge generating layer; and forming a charge transport layer again on the thin layer of the charge transport layer.
