PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-reproducing apparatus that can reproduce frame image data without interleaving the data, while converting the rate. SOLUTION: The image-reproducing apparatus that reproduces a moving image file at a reproduction frame rate different from a recording frame rate, is provided with a 1st generator that generates a n-times repetitive field image signal repeated n times and then output from the frame image data at a field rate being a multiple of (n) (n is an even number of 2 or higher) of a recording frame rate and updates object frame image data, a 2nd generator that generates and outputs a repetitive field image signal smaller than (n) times from the frame image data at the field rate and updates the object frame data, and a selector, that selects the 1st generator or the 2nd generator according to the sequence of a plurality of the frame image data.
