<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress both of an increase in traffic and of printing using articles of consumption uselessly when managing a print job. <P>SOLUTION: A printer PRT1 counts the number of dots and the number of pages for each print job to calculate print density. Then, when the print density is beyond the range of a threshold, the printer PRT 1 judges that wasteful print has been performed, and makes the print density correspond to the name of a client which has outputted the print job, and immediately transmits them to the personal computer of a manager. The manager specifies the user who has performed the wasteful print, and instantaneously warns the user. Also, when the print density is within the predetermined range, the printer PRT1 judges that proper print has been performed, and temporarily stores the print density, and transmits it in a batch later. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
