<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter base plate having little possibility that color material moves while keeping the merit of an ink jet method that it is easy as it is, and a color filter and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is manufactured by (1) a stage for forming an ink absorbing layer consisting of electron beam hardening resin on a transparent base plate, (2) a stage for forming a black matrix consisting of photosetting resin by a photolithographic method on the ink absorbing layer, (3) a stage for coloring the ink absorbing layer by filling the aperture part of the black matrix with coloring ink by an ink jet system, and (4) a stage for hardening the colored ink absorbing layer by the radiation of an electron beam. The method includes that the contact angle of the ink absorbing layer with the ink is ≤15° and the black matrix has ink repellency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
