PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a culture soil-producing apparatus which can massively produce the non-cracking, non-collapsing, easily handleable raising seedling culture soil at a low cost in reduced work processes and gives a wholly uniform density and a high quality to the produced raising seedling culture soil. SOLUTION: This culture soil-producing apparatus 20 heats and simultaneously compression-molds a raw material G dropped and supplied on a belt conveyer 22 and further cools and simultaneously compression-molds the raw material G. A gathering screw 70, a scattering screw 72 and a gathering screw 73 are disposed just on the belt conveyer 22 in a mutually adjacent state, can uniformly and flatly level the dropped and supplied raw material G on the belt conveyer 22, and can suck away the cotton-like masses of the raw material G. Thereby, the leveled raising seedling culture soil is then compression-molded into the mat having a wholly uniform density (compression degree) without being partially abnormally stiffened.
