<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electrochemical gas sensor for stably detecting gas for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrochemical gas sensor, a plurality of electrodes conduct electricity via an electrolyte one another, and use an ionic liquid as the electrolyte. In the electrochemical sensor, the electrolyte is preferably made of ethymethylimidazoriumtetrafluoroboletal solution.
