<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method and a printing device of a re-transfer type in which a boundary of non-transfer area on the print material is clarified and nothing is transferred in the non-transfer area assuredly. <P>SOLUTION: In a peeling process of a transfer layer of an intermediate transfer film, the amount of energy to be supplied to a thermal head 3a for heating the head 3a is varied according to the position of the thermal head 3a in the peeling area 7P and its vicinity. Also, in a case that the position of the thermal head 3a is in the vicinity of the boundary of the peeling area 7P when it is shifting relatively from outside the peeling area 7NP to inside the peeling area 7P, the amount of supplied energy is set to be E1 at the maximum. Further, in a case that the position of the thermal head 3a is outside the peeling area 7NP, energy is supplied so that the temperature is maintained at below the predetermined temperature PA while heating the thermal head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
