PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power plug 2 and a plug socket reducing time in connecting a cable. SOLUTION: This power plug 2 has a plurality of plug blades 4 and a connection part electrically connected with the cable. The connection part, wherein connecting pins 6 electrically connected with the plug blades 4 are inserted in an end part of conductive wire 40 in the same plane as an end part of a coating body of a plurality of coated wires 38 of the cable, has an insulating grip part 8 holding the connecting pin 6, a fixing auxiliary tool 10, an insertion auxiliary tool inserted between the conductive wires 40 in the coated wires, water proof rubber 62, and a mounting bracket 26. The insertion auxiliary tool is provided with a plurality of dashboards 16 and bottom plates 18, and in the bottom plates 18 holes through which the connecting pins 6 penetrate are formed between dashboards 16. The holes are formed on a extended line of end parts of the coated wires 38 when the insertion auxiliary tool is inserted in the cable and the coating body coating the coated wire 38.
