<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst apparatus which has high adsorbing capacity and high catalytic activity and exhibits high power to decompose the object to be treated. <P>SOLUTION: This photocatalyst apparatus 10 is provided with a base material 11 for transmitting ultraviolet rays, a photocatalyst layer 12 formed on at least one side of the material 11 and an inorganic adsorbent layer 13 for covering ≥80% of the whole surface of the layer 12 and is constituted so that the ultraviolet rays are made incident to the material 11. Otherwise, this apparatus 10 is provided with an optical fiber, the photocatalyst layer formed on the surface of the optical fiber and the inorganic adsorbent layer for covering ≥80% of the whole surface of the photocatalyst layer and is constituted so that the ultraviolet rays are made incident to the optical fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
