PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a claw sharpener for a cat, with which an area for receiving sharpened refuse is enlarged. SOLUTION: The claw sharpener main body 11 of the claw sharpener 1 for a cat comprises a longwise rectangular box body 12 and a claw sharpener member 13 stored in the box body 12. An opening part 15 is formed in the box body 12 and the claw sharpener face 14 of the claw sharpener member 13 is exposed. A tray-like receiving part 21 is fixed from the outside to the bottom of the claw sharpener main body 11. The receiving part 21 receives sharpened refuse occurred during grinding and prevents sharpened refuse from scattering on the floor. The receiving part 21 for receiving sharpened refuse is constituted of a cutout piece 52 to be cut out when the opening part 15 is formed on the front 31 of the box body 12. Since the receiving part for receiving sharpened refuse is fixed from the outside of the claw sharpener main body to the bottom, the receiving part is not restricted by the shape and the size of the claw sharpener main body and the area of the receiving part is expanded.
