The method involves internal high-pressure shaping, squeezing the semi-finished product (5) in a closed tool (1) and expanding it with fluidic pressure to the final shape. The ends (9,10) of the semi-finished product are cut to form angled ends (12,13) before the squeezing process. The cutting contour and angle, between 6 and 10 degrees, are selected so that the ends are deformed by squeezing into an essentially flat shape and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the semi-finished product.
