The present invention relates to a method for generating a map based on musical preferences, wherein regions are mapped onto the musical preferences. The method for generating a map based on musical preferences according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: collecting music playback information including artist information and regional information of played music; extracting a tag list including a tag about an artist included in the music playback information according to regions from a tag information database; calculating a preferred music association between a first region and a second region using the extracted tag list; and generating a map using the calculated preferred music association.
