PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material for lithium ion battery capable of easily peeling an outer layer from a base material layer after packaging a battery by use of a laminated body. SOLUTION: This packaging material is formed of a laminated body comprising a surface resin layer 6 of polyolefin resin laminated on one side of the base material layer 1 consisting of a biaxial oriented nylon film, and an aluminum foil 3 and a sealant layer 5 laminated on the other side thereof, or a laminated body comprising an adhesive resin layer 8, an anchor coat layer 8 and a polyester film 9 laminated on one side of the base material layer of the biaxial oriented nylon film, and the aluminum foil 3 and the sealant layer 5 laminated on the other side thereof.
