<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging apparatus which suitably corrects the black level of picture signals, even if there is a high brightness condition or spot light. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises an effective pixel block 2 for receiving an object light, and a shaded pixel block 1 shaded for outputting black level-corresponding signals.
