PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display whose circuit constitution can be simplified while conduction loss of current in a switch device is minimized, and an energy recovery method and a drive circuit therefor. SOLUTION: This plasma display is equipped with a panel, at least one voltage source for supplying a sustain voltage to the panel, an inductor for recovering and reusing energy charged in the panel due to a resonance phenomenon for driving the panel, and 1st and 2nd switches which are connected in parallel between the inductor and the panel.
