The invention concerns the use of at least one isoleucine amino acid, mono-or polyhydroxylated, and/or of one of its derivatives, as active agent, alone or in combination with at least another active agent, in or for preparing a cosmetic or dermopharmaceutical or dermatological composition. The invention also concerns its use, inter alia, for skin and/or skin appendage care. The invention also concerns compositions comprising said active agent and a cosmetic treatment method for the skin and/or skin appendages.
