PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running control device of a running vehicle capable of preventing a crawler of the vehicle from deviating off a ladder-form member and performing the loading operations safely and efficiently by making a left-right steering control of the left and right crawlers of the vehicle automatically when the vehicle is loaded on the load table of a carriage with the ladder-form member bridged. SOLUTION: An automatic steering control device according to the invention works when the left and right crawlers 3 of the vehicle 1 run on the left and right ladder members 9 bridged between the load table 6a of the carriage 6 and the ground surface, in which a left and a right tracing sensor 7 dangling protrusively downward from the running surface parts of the crawlers 3 are installed on the left and the right of the vehicle 1, and the left-right steering control of the left and right crawlers 3 is performed automatically on the basis of the sensing information about the situation that the dangling tips of the sensors 7 contact with or separate from the outer end faces of the ladder-form members 9. When the crawlers 3 run on the ladder-form members 9 bridged between the load table 6a and the ground surface, an automatic steering control is made along the ladder-form members 9 by the sensor 7, so that it is possible to perform the loading operations onto the vehicle 1 safely.
