PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize waste tiles and to provide a ceramic industry product having a sufficient strength and effectively protected from frost damage. SOLUTION: The ceramic industry product utilizing waste tiles is prepared by adding water to a mixture consisting of tile scraps, fine sand, and a cementitious material for soil each in a specified content, kneading the water-added mixture, press molding this mixture with a high-pressure press, drying the resultant molded article for a specified time, and sintering the dried article at 1,150°C.
