PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove such a problem that a severe accident may occur by the explosion of an inflammable HC refrigerant, which is triggered by the generation of sparks from a light in a refrigerator when changing the light with a power source being switched on. SOLUTION: The refrigerator is constructed such that, when a light in the refrigerator is broken, current application on the light is forcibly stopped, and that after the light has been changed and resetting operation has been performed, current application on the light is resumed.
