PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which is effectively made thinner in shape by retreating some photographic lenses to an appropriate position when a lens barrel is collapsed, as for the digital camera which forms an image signal by catching object light with a solid state imaging device. SOLUTION: Both of a rear group lens 112 and a focus lens 113 are rotated between a position on the optical axis and a retreat position close to a recessed part 104 beside a CCD solid-state imaging device 120, or between the position on the optical axis and a retreat position where a front group lens 111, the rear group lens 112 and the focus lens 113 are arranged on nearly the same plane.
