PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle separating and transferring device which is suitable for producing a brush wherein the bundles of bristles being different in the amount of bristles are planted. SOLUTION: The device separates a prescribed number of bristles from the aggregation of multiple bristles, and transfers them to a prescribed position. The device includes: a transfer means 2 including a guide part 20 to guide the bristles 10, moving the guide part 20, and transferring the bristles 10 guided by the guide part 20 to the prescribed position; and a bristle amount adjusting means 3 for changing the guide space of the guide part 2 and adjusting the amount of the bristles 10 to be guided by the guide part 20.
