PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a voltage resistance performance of a laminated positive characteristic thermistor. SOLUTION: In a portion to dispose first and second inner electrodes 4 and 5 formed inside of a laminate 2, in a central portion vertical to a laminating direction, in a central portion at least in the laminating direction, a non-heating portion is provided not to generate heat even when a voltage is applied between the inner electrodes 4 and 5. Thus, a hot spot is avoided from being formed within the laminate when the voltage is applied, thereby improving the voltage resistance performance. The non-heating portion is applied by, for example, providing a void 13 on at least one thermistor layer 3 or opening or slitting the inner electrodes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
