<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a reliable, high-definition and large-area organic EL display element by providing a color filter suitable to be laminated to the organic EL display element. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter c, spacers 6 are formed on a black matrix 3 wherein a ratio R of the sum A of areas of top surfaces a<SB>1</SB>, a<SB>2</SB>, a<SB>3</SB>to a<SB>n</SB>of the spacers 6 to the area S of an effective region s composed of the black matrix 3 and a plurality of colored resin regions 4R, 4G and 4B, is not less than 0.05% nor more than 1%. Hence, the use of the color filter c enables the manufacturing of the reliable, high-definition and large-area organic EL display element because lamination to the organic EL element e does not cause a stress concentration to the top surfaces a<SB>1</SB>, a<SB>2</SB>, a<SB>3</SB>to a<SB>n</SB>of the spacers 6 and damage to an organic EL layer 82. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
