PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized lightweight ultrasonic transducer having an acoustic radiation characteristic with a high efficiency over a broadband and capable of attaining high power wave transmission. SOLUTION: In a bolt-tightened Langevin vibrator wherein piezoelectric laminated bodies 13, 16 inside of which a through-hole 14 is formed are located between a head mass 11 and a tail mass 12, and a bolt 15 is provided, which is engaged with the head mass 11 and the tail mass 12 through the through-hole 14 of the piezoelectric laminated bodies 13, 16 to apply a compression stress to the piezoelectric laminated bodies 13, 16, a projection 21 is provided to a front side of the head mass 11 and an acoustic cap 10 is fixed to the head mass 11 to cover the projection 21.
