PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a driving voltage of a sense amplifier for a memory device is provided to prevent unnecessary power loss in the sense amplifier and to stabilize a bit line precharge voltage. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus controls a driving voltage of a sense amplifier of a memory device. A reference voltage generator(20) generates a reference voltage. A core voltage generator(10) generates a core voltage used as the driving voltage of the sense amplifier. A comparator(30) compares the reference voltage being output from the reference voltage generator with the core voltage being output from the core voltage generator. And a clamp(40) controls a potential level of the core voltage using an output signal of the comparator.
