PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image provision system capable of reading a book 1 and outputting its image while appropriately protecting its copyright and effectively using image information obtained by the reading for the purpose other than the output of the image. SOLUTION: An information managing device 200 stores the association of the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) with a print output unit price and image information corresponding thereto in a copyright database, and identifies the corresponding print output unit price based on the reading result of the ISBN transmitted from a book manuscript reader 110 of an image provision device 100. Thereafter, when the image information is transmitted from the reader 110, it is stored in association with the ISBN. The image provision device 100, on the other hand, outputs the image from a printer 130 based on the print output unit price transmitted from the information management device 200, balance information in an electronic card 2, and the image information read by the book manuscript reader 100.
