PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive the miniaturization of a film capacitor and an improvement of the accuracy of a pitch between terminals as well as a workability in the manufacturing. SOLUTION: The metallized film capacitor is prepared by a method wherein a core having a slanted surface inclined into one direction at an inserting tip end unit is inserted into the cavity in the winding center of a capacitor element produced by winding the metallized film obtained through metal deposit on a dielectric film. In this case, the capacitor is provided with an encapsulating case accommodating the capacitor element and having an opening, and the core is inserted into only one side opening of the cavity of the element, while the opening of the cavity, into which the core is not inserted is arranged so as to become the side of opening of the encapsulating case.
