PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a sheathing case in an electrolytic capacitor having low impedance characteristics, high withstand voltage characteristics and proper high temperature lifetime characteristics. SOLUTION: This electrolytic capacitor uses an electrolyte containing aluminum tetrafluoride salt, and includes an insulating layer on the inner surface of the sheathing case.
