PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sheet carrying quality by preventing the generation of scrape due to an abutment of one side end of the sheet on a curving point, on which the sheet abuts in a wide range and for a long time. SOLUTION: This sheet carrying device is formed of a horizontal resist regulating guide 17 for regulating position along a width direction in parallel with the sheet surface and vertical to the carrying direction, a carrying part for obliquely carrying the sheet by pushing a side end of the sheet positioned along the width direction to the horizontal resist regulating guide 17, various guide members for guiding both surfaces and the side ends of the sheet in the feeding direction, and a second guide member formed of metal pins and a sheet metal guide having abrasion resistance higher than a first guide member. A tapered part formed at the predetermined angle against the sheet feeding direction is provided in the upstream of the first guide member, and the second guide member is arranged at the curving point, from which the tapered part starts, or near there.
