PURPOSE: A position control apparatus of a marine work ship is provided to control accurate position and displacement of the marine work ship by applying a DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) technique to automatic position control of the work ship. CONSTITUTION: The position control apparatus of a marine work ship(4) comprises a satellite(1), the first and the second DGPS receiver(2a,2b), an anchor(5), a moor line(6) and a command transfer module(3). The satellite provided position information of the work ship to the work ship, and the first and the second DGPS receiver are installed in the work ship and receives the position information from the satellite. A plurality of anchors are fixed on the sea bottom and fixes the work ship to a fixed position through the moor line. The command transfer module digitalizes the position information from the DGPS receivers and converts it into graphical data.
