PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat development apparatus which eliminates has no antifouling transfer guide plate adjacent to a heat drum within the heat development apparatus by development processing for a long period. SOLUTION: The heat development apparatus for heat developing a heat developable material having a photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt and a reducing agent and a layer for protecting the photosensitive layer on at least one surface of a base is characterized by that the transfer guide plate of the heat developable material disposed adjacent to the heat drum of the heat development apparatus is provided with at least a free compound absorption layer and a slipperiness application layer on a metallic plate.
