PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus which can obtain images of a high image quality regardless of varieties of recording media or an environment condition where ink hardening is carried out when executing image recording with the use of a photo-curing type ink. SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus 1 is equipped with recording heads 6 and 6 for discharging one or a plurality of ink including a photo-curing component onto the recording medium P, and ultraviolet irradiation devices 7 and 7 for hardening the ink by casting light to the ink impacting on the recording medium P. At the same time, a chamber 9 is set for covering at least a movement range of the recording heads 6 and 6, and an air-conditioning mechanism 12 is set for adjusting at least one of a temperature and a humidity in the chamber 9.
