APPARATUS WITH PIVOT, AND PORTABLE COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the direction of an apparatus such as a notebook computer with simple constitution.

SOLUTION: A pivot member 4 is provided for supporting the apparatus on a placing face P to function as a pivot in changing the direction of the apparatus when the front end of the apparatus is lifted to incline the apparatus when the apparatus is placed on the placing face P. A hand is moved to turn the lifted end part around the pivot, and when the apparatus is placed in a desired direction, the lifted end part is lowered to put the apparatus again in the state of being placed on the placing face. Thus, the direction of the apparatus can be changed.
