Human nucleic acid sequences expressed in pancreatic carcinomas

A nucleic acid (I), preferably isolated, that contains or comprises one of 71 specific sequences, where the sequences are not reproduced but most are identified by accession numbers and name, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) proteins and peptides (II), preferably isolated, that contain a sequence encoded by (I); and (2) methods for diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer, using a substance (III) that inhibits or binds to (I) or (II). ACTIVITY : Cytostatic. No details of tests for cytostatic activity are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Inhibiting transcription and/or expression of genes and proteins associated with pancreatic cancer.
