PURPOSE: Provided is a paint composition for a sliding part which shows improved abrasion resistance, dynamic friction coefficient and sticking resistance under more severe condition and is applied to the piston used in an internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: The paint composition comprises a binder resin; a solid lubricant; a titanium dioxide powder; and a coupling agent. Preferably the titanium dioxide powder has an average diameter of primary particle of 1 micrometer or less and its content is 5-35 wt% based on the amount of the binder resin; and the binder resin comprises polyamideimide. Also the paint composition comprises polyamideimide; polytetrafluoroethylene; a titanium dioxide powder; and a silane coupling agent. Preferably the silane coupling agent has an epoxy group as a functional group.
