PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve troublesomeness about speed shifting operation while fuel consumption is reduced. SOLUTION: In a 12-speed transmission constituted that the speed shifting stage of a main transmission is shifted from HIGH to LOW by a splitter (of a sub-transmission), when a 12-speed shifting switch to specify whether 12-speed shifting is executed by utilizing the splitter is turned ON, speed shifting is executed in one bound throughout the whole area of speeds like 1L, 1H, 2L, 2L to 5L, 5H, 6L, 6H. Meanwhile, when the 12-speed shifting switch is turned OFF, speed shifting is executed by two shift stages at a low speed (1L to 4H) which is often used during acceleration and deceleration, and speed shifting is executed by one shift stage at a high speed (5L to 6H) which is often used during cruising travelling.
