摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely, easily and efficiently recovering high purity rhodium, e.g., from a small amount of metal waste containing a relatively high concentration of rhodium in a waste thermocouple or the like, and also containing the other platinum group metal. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for recovering high purity rhodium, the fired material of high purity rhodium chloride acid ammonium obtained by dissolving and refining rhodium-containing metal waste or obtained by refining a rhodium compound-containing waste liquid is stored into a ceramic crucible together with solid oxalic acid, carbon or a carbon-containing substance such as ash-free filter paper whose form can be retained even after the completion of heating is further stored thereon, thereafter, a cover is put thereon, next, the crucible is stored into a large-sized another ceramic crucible, a substance carbonized by heating or carbon is charged between the inside crucible and the outside crucible, thereafter, a cover is put on the outside crucible, and heating treatment is applied at a high temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
