<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for treating an organic waste and a method for operating the device which secure the stable quality of treated water while useful solids separated from the crushed organic waste can be recycled, regarding the device for treating the organic waste such as garbage generated in the home, in an office or the like, and the method for operating the device. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a flocculant adding means adding a flocculant to the crushed organic waste and a mixing tank mixing the crushed organic waste flowing in with the flocculant and also a flocculant control means controlling the flocculant adding means and/or the flocculant mixing means corresponding to the quantity of the crushed organic waste flowing into the mixing tank. Thereby, the diameters of fine particles of the crushed organic waste are adequately flocculated and it is possible thereby to increase the amount of the useful solids recovered and also to secure the stable quality of treated water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
