<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a plurality of paper feed cassettes with easy work. <P>SOLUTION: A laser printer 1 consists of a printer body 1a and three detachable paper feed cassette units 1b, 1c, 1d. The printer body 1a has a lock portion but the paper feed cassettes 1b, 1c, 1d each have no lock portion. There are lock gears 51a, 51b, 51c, 51d on the left side of the paper feed cassettes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, and the paper feed cassettes have recessed portions 55a, 55b, 55c, 55d, respectively, for receiving the lock gears in the locked condition. The lock gears are connected to one another via transmission gears 70a, 71b, 72b, 70b, 71c, 72c, 70c, 71d, 72d, 70d. When a key 90 is inserted into a key hole 14a of the printer body 1a for locking operation, the turning of the lock gear 51a is transmitted to all gears to lock all paper feed cassettes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d at the same time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
