PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce carbon dioxide emission by a downsized decarbonator. SOLUTION: The hydrogen production equipment produces a hydrogen-containing gas from hydrocarbon used as a raw material in a reformer, separates the produced hydrogen-containing gas in a hydrogen refiner into hydrogen and a concentrated impurity gas wherein gaseous components other than hydrogen are concentrated and recovers the separated hydrogen as high-purity hydrogen. Here, a combustible component within the concentrated impurity gas is burned by a burner, and carbon dioxide is removed from a combustion gas by the decarbonator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
