WOODY MATERIAL WORKPIECE HAVING METALLIC LUSTER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of uniformly applying a surface coating film having metallic luster on a woody material workpiece having a complicated shape by coating the woody material workpiece on which metal is vapor-deposited with resin containing pigment or dye and a product by the same. SOLUTION: The method of forming the uniform surface coating film having metallic luster on the surface of the woody material workpiece is performed by arranging a resin layer consisting essentially of an urethane resin, an acrylic resin, a polyester resin and an alkyd resin between a woody material treated with wood filling and a metal vapor deposition film and setting the pressure of metal vapor deposition to 1×10-2to 1×102Pa and the woody material workpiece having metallic luster is formed by the method.
