PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which can make a transducer swing without reversing a motor. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic probe is equipped with the transducer 2 which alternately converts an ultrasonic signal and an electric signal, the motor 4 which generates a driving power for making the transducer 2 swing, a driving arm 6 which is fixed to the output shaft of the motor 4, a holder 3 which is arranged in such a manner that a holding section, having a holding surface which holds the transducer 2, keeps the surface on the opposite side from the holding surface facing the driving arm 6, and a frame 5 which supports the holder 3 in a manner to be able to swing with the shaft being orthogonal to the output shaft of the motor 4 as a center. The holder 3 has a groove part on the confronted surface with the driving arm 6. The driving arm 6 has a recess at a location within the confronted surface with the holder 3 and being eccentric to the output shaft of the motor 4.
