PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disaster prevention roof tile improved in wind resisting and waterproofing properties. SOLUTION: In an engaging structure for the disaster prevention roof tile having a shape of a flat plate, an engaging projection 16 (a) is mounted to be integrated with an upper surface of a flashing 6 which is provided before a tail 4 to be higher than a surface of a tile body 2, (b) does not protrude rearward beyond the tail 4, and (c) includes a rising part 18 and a horizontal part 19 curved from an upper end of the rising part 18 in a direction to face an engaging insertion part 17 of the upper tier when the tiles are laid. Further, (d) both lateral sides of the base end of the rising part 18 and its front side in a flow direction are united with an upper surface of the flashing 6, and (e) a whole lower surface of the horizontal part 19 faces the upper surface of the flashing 6 to form an insertion space 20 between them. The engaging insertion part 17 (f) is mounted to be integrated with a side end part of the insertion part so that a thickness of the insertion part is reduced at the side end part, (g) has an upper surface level which is lower than the level of the upper surface of the insertion part, and (h) has a lower surface level which is the same as the lower surface of the insertion part.
