PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage-treating apparatus wherein at the time when a stirrer is stopped due to thickening phenomenon, thickened stuck matters are removed from the stirrer to release the stop. SOLUTION: In the garbage-treating apparatus, while garbage is being heated by a heater, the garbage is stirred by the stirrer and degraded. A heating-stopping means is provided to stop the heating of the garbage by the heater, at the time when the pressure of a pressure oil supplied for driving a hydraulic motor 44 for driving it reaches a set pressure. A 1st relief valve 17 and a 2nd relief valve 20 having different set pressures from each other are provided. Upon opening the 1st relief valve 17 having a low set-pressure, heating by the heater is stopped by the heating-stopping means. Thereafter, the 1st relief valve 17 is deactivated, and the 2nd relief valve 20 having a high set-pressure is made effective. A selector valve 14 is provided to switch a pressure-oil supply path to operate the stirrer by the hydraulic motor 44 in the normal and reverse directions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
